SeaIntel: Maersk Line wins crucial market shares

Maersk Group’s new interim report contains several significant bright spots for Maersk Line. Of crucial importance is the company’s ability to capture market shares in a declining market, which is important to the company’s new mega-carriers Triple-E, says Lars Jensen, analyst and partner of SeaIntel, to ShippingWatch.  

Maersk Line has been very adept at increasing its market share on the important routes between Asia and Europe despite facing a declining market. The markets shares are indeed very crucial to the company, which must allow for the new mega-carriers Triple-E from summer 2013 and onward.
