
The Faroese oil company Atlantic Petroleum, listed in Copenhagen, presented a strong report for the first half of 2012 showing progress in almost every entry. In spite of a small fall in production in the second quarter compared to the first three months, Atlantic adjusts the expectations to the production and operating income for 2012 upwards. Atlantic Petroleum emerged from the first six months of 2012 with a profit before taxes of USD 11.1 million and a net result of USD 3.6 million corresponding to an increase of USD 9.7 and USD 3.3 respectively compared to the first six months last year. Furthermore, the turnover reached a record level of USD 46.8 million compared to USD 40.4 in the same period of time last year.
