Maersk Tankers spun off as new corporation

The much-tried tanker company Maersk Tankers of the Maersk Group has now been spun off as an independent corporation. The move was made to increase the transparency of the company.

A.P. Moeller – Maersk’s tanker company Maersk Tankers, which just as other leading tanker companies are in a severely trying global market, has been established as an independent corporation.

At the moment, Maersk Tankers are working with several new initiatives. Recently, the management moved the headquarters of the Swedish tanker company Broström from Gothenburg to Copenhagen as part of a simplification of the organization and procedures, following the integration of Broström in Maersk Tankers.
