
The wide acceptance of LNG as marine fuel depends more on the pricing than on technology, according to a comprehensive 12 month study by Lloyd’s Register.
Looking beyond the niche markets, the study finds that the establishment of LNG bunkering infrastructure, which will be able to support most of the world’s consumers, will be very sensitive to the relationship between the price of LNG and the price of alternative fuels.
