Small carriers ask for public financing

Shortly, the Danish maritime growth team will present its final list of suggestions for building a “maritime cluster of the future”. At a final meeting today, the ideas are presented. Among other things, the small carriers ask for public financing.

Today, the maritime growth team appointed by the Danish Government will sum up its list of suggestions of how to maintain and strengthen the Danish maritime cluster. The list will shortly be presented for the Danish Government by the Chairman of the growth team, Norden CEO, Carsten Mortensen. The final meeting will take place this afternoon in Copenhagen and here, representatives from the maritime industry and the eight growth team members will take part. The Minister for Business and Growth, Ole Sohn, the Minister for the Environment, Ida Auken and the Minister for Science, Innovation and Higher Education, Morten Østergaard, are also expected to be either present or represented at the meeting.
