Oil, energy and shipping. Today, the top-100 from Berlingske Business Magasin was published and it shows that the foundations of seven of the 100 largest Danish fortunes are created in the shipping and offshore industries. Here, ShippingWatch presents them according to their ranking.

The estate of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller: Previously, the estate of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller has taken up the number one slot on the list but this year, it has dropped to a place as number ten with a personal fortune of USD 1.2 billion. This is caused by a change in the selection criteria in the Berlingske top-100 list resulting in foundation fortunes being deducted. It still remains to be seen how the estate will be wound up following the decease of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller.
