On Monday, the two former arch enemies, the Unites States and China, came to a military agreement on an external threat – the piracy off the Horn of Africa. An anti-piracy exercise was carried out with the participation of the American Navy and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s navy. So reports World Maritime News.

The exercise, the first of its kind, was focused on a bilateral cooperation in detecting, boarding and searching suspected pirate vessels and on the ability from both the Chinese and the American navies to react on pirate vessels.
