Drewry reprimands the shipping companies

The analysis agency speaks harsh words to the shipping companies. They need to pull themselves together if they want to avoid massive rate drops in the spot market, writes Drewry on the basis of falling freight rates.

The container freight market can expect further rate drops. Even though several shipping companies have already tried to deal with the problems concerning key cargo issues, they need to do more, writes Drewry, based on observations from the container market.

“Capacity adjustments have already been announced, but the shipping companies need to do more in order to arrest the decline,” warns Drewry.
