DNB: The winners and losers of shipping

Analysts at the major Norwegian bank DNB strongly recommend companies such as A. P. Moeller-Maersk and tank shipping companies such as Frontline 2012 and Scorpio Tankers. In Maersk’s case the driving force is the Group’s oil division, say the analysts.

In a report almost 500 pages long, the stock analysts of the major Norwegian bank DNB list the future winners and losers of the shipping industry. Topping the list of must-own stocks are, in the following order, A. P. Moeller-Maersk, the tanker company Frontline 2012, Scorpio Tankers, Höegh LNG, chemical tankers Stolt Nielsen (SNI) and the car shipping company Norwegian Car Carriers, NOCC.

DNB also gives the recommendation “buy” to Awilco LNG (ALNG), Danish D/S Norden, gas shipping companies Gaslog and Golar LNG, bulk shipping company Golden Ocean (GOGL), Safe Bulkers, and tank shipping company Teekay Tankers.
