Two weeks after announcing that Kim H. Sørensen would leave Transatlantic, to assume the position as CEO of Blue Water Shipping, Transatlantic has found his replacement. Heléne Mellquist, who has worked for Transatlantic since the beginning of 2012, will take over as CEO of the Industrial Shipping division.
“Transatlantic’s Industrial Shipping division is in the midst of a restructuring process, with the goal being to improve profitability considerably through increased market shares and restructuring costs. We are very pleased that Heléne will take over general responsibility for the Industrial Shipping division, which ensures continuity in implementing the new strategy,” says Henning E. Jensen, CEO of Transatlantic.
