Meet the new political head of the Danish maritime industry

Following the election of a new leader in the Danish Socialist People’s Party, part of the Danish coalition Government, the newly-elected leader, Annette Vilhemsen, will take over the political responsibility for the development of Danish shipping and the entire maritime sector. Her first task will be to present the Danish Government’s proposal on growth and employment.

Tuesday morning, the new leader of the Danish Socialist People’s Party, Annette Vilhelmsen, was presented as the new Danish Minister for Business and Growth. Thereby, she will also take on the political responsibility for Danish shipping and the Danish Maritime Industry as a whole.

Anette Vilhelmsen’s first task will be to prepare the Government’s proposal to the development of the so-called Blue Denmark before the end of the year following the presentation of the Government’s growth teams’ recommendations previously published on ShippingWatch. Furthermore, Annette Vilhelmsen will have to follow up on some of the contacts established by her predecessor in the Ministry, Ole Sohn, on his trips to China, Singapore and Korea.
