Competitors copied Maersk Line reefer rate increase

Since Maersk Line CEO; Søren Skou, announced a significant reefer container rate increase of 30 percent in September, the other traditional container carriers have made similar announcements.

Since Maersk Line CEO, Søren Skou, announced a significant rate increase on reefer container of 30 percent or USD 1,500/teu starting 1 January 2013 in September, the rest of the traditional container carriers have followed suit.

In its latest Sunday Spotlight, the market analysis company Seaintel brings a list of the individual container carriers’ rate increases on reefer transports from January 2013.
