The VLCC pool Tankers International one member short

GC Tankers has left the Tankers International pool in which OSG is already a source of increased uncertainty. The pool continues even though with significantly fewer ships than the 40 tankers it operated in its heyday.

Now, 35 tankers remain in the VLCC pool Tankers International following the withdrawal of the GC Tankers 298,600 dwt vessel, Haikou. At one point, Tankers International operated 40 ships, Tradewinds reports.

It remains unclear whether GC Tankers has withdrawn the vessel voluntarily or has been forced to do so. Opinions of the wellbeing of GC Tankers are different and the bad financial result may be one of the reasons behind the withdrawal from Tankers International, the market speculates.
