Danish Maritime Officers: Employment in focus in 2013

2013 will be the year in which the employment situation will have to come to the fore, Danish Maritime Officers thinks. "We are in the need of officers and more companies than just the carriers will have to step up and train officers", the Managing Director of Danish Maritime Officers, Fritz Ganzhorn says.

Not many Danish industries have a lack of personnel. However, this is the case for shipping and the employment situation will become a cardinal point for Danish Maritime Officers in 2013, Managing Director, Fritz Ganzhorn, tells ShippingWatch.

“We think that Denmark has a structural problem concerning the maritime competencies as employment is full. This year, we have experienced an increasing tendency of companies having difficulties in finding employees”, he says.
