Former Maersk executive in play for Torm chairmanship

Former Executive Vice President of A.P. Moeller – Maersk Flemming Ipsen will presumably become Torm’s new chairman of the board. At the same time, former Group Chief Financial Officer Olivier Dubois from the world’s third largest container company CMA CGM has been nominated to join the board. The same goes for Alexander Green and Jon Syvertsen who have also been proposed to join the board on January 9th.

Flemming Ipsen, formerly with A.P. Moeller – Maersk, is a qualified guess for the position as the new chairman of the board with Torm, a guess that will be confirmed or denied on January 9th next year, when the company holds an extraordinary general meeting.

The former Group Chief Financial Officer from the French container giant CMA CGM, Olivier Dubois, is also joining the Torm board, reveals a notice sent to the stock exchange on Thursday night.
