
The oversupply of container ships was eased a little in November, as 19 container ships, for a total of 38,822 teu, were sold for demolition, making November the biggest month for demolitions since the summer 2009, and the third biggest registered ever, according to Clarksons Container Intelligence Monthly.
"This brings total containership scrapping to 154 vessels of a combined 285,701 TEU in the first eleven months of 2012," writes the Clarksons analysts.
