2012 a good stock year for almost all shipping companies

Four out of five Danish shipping-shares on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange finished 2012 with a higher market value than at the end of 2011. A surprise that the market has been willing to ignore the very low freight rates for D/S Norden, says Nykredit Markets.

2012 was a good year for four out of the five Danish shipping-shares on the Stock Exchange, as they all finished 2012 with a higher market value than on the last day of 2011. The DFDS share was the only one to finish at a lower value than last year.

Nykredit Markets has provided ShippingWatch with the data for the shipping-shares' market value on December 31st 2011 and December 31st 2012, and ShippingWatch has then compared the value of the shares.
