The Danish competitiveness blocks for the realisation of one of the Danish Government’s goals of its recently published growth plan for the maritime industry in Denmark, says Preben Bang Henriksen, spokesman on maritime policy for the major Danish opposition party, Venstre.
“The Government says that the maritime industry depends on our competitiveness and that it seeks to attract foreign companies to Denmark. Such a statement is common sense but in Denmark, we have problems with our competitiveness, our cost level and thereby our income taxes”, he tells ShippingWatch before adding:
