Scorpio tankers expects weak result in 2012

Scorpio Tankers, which showed much willingness to invest last year,  faces losing more per share than expected in the fourth quarter of 2012, the company informs in a press release.

Scorpio Tankers states, in a press release, that the carrier will lose between four and nine cent per share in the fourth quarter of 2012 which is more than expected and sends a signal that the ready-to-invest carrier, which has been significantly active on eco-ships, does not fare as well as analysts had expected.

“Tanker company preannouncements are rare and there are no details in the release to explain the new range,” Evercore Partners analyst Jonathan Chappell tells TradeWinds referring to Scorpio Tankers stating how the carrier has ordered several tankers in January as well on top of the order of six new eco-ships, the carrier placed in December last year.
