Suez Canal Authority announced today that the price for passing through the Canal will go up, starting May 1st, says Leth Suez Transit to ShippingWatch.
“We’ve been given no reason for the rate increase yet, but of course we’ve asked about it and are investigating the matter. Rate increases are usually announced at the end of the month, and then there’s always a three month wait, so it won’t come into effect till May 1st,” says Jacob Guldager, Branch Manager & Head of Sales at Leth Suez Transit, to ShippingWatch.
