Increase in transparency pays off for maritime companies

Today, an ever-increasing number of companies include transparency in their corporate values, including the maritime companies which are focusing more on transparency than before. Transparency creates value for the company and it commits the company as well, Professor in Business Communication says.

Today having words like “openness” and “transparency” featuring as goals in your corporate values is increasingly common. So says Winni Johansen, Professor at the Department of Business Communication at Aarhus University.

“Today, it is easier for the surrounding world to see how a company acts than it was the case previously. They receive more questions than before, an increased number of people seek information about the companies ranging from investors over clients to the public”, she says.
