
The Nordic Tankers vessel Harbour Krystal headed for Amsterdam carrying nafta suffered an explosion on Wednesday night which initiated a fire onboard the vessel. The fire was extinguished Thursday morning but a member of the crew is still missing following a search assisted by the Portuguese authorities, the carrier says.
The ship, a double-hulled tanker of 11,200 tons built in 2006, set the course for Setubal, Portugal, under its own power before noon.
