Forwarders: We struck a good deal with DFDS

Just weeks ago the DFDS competitor in the North Sea, North Sea RoRo, claimed that the company was gaining market shares. Yesterday the Swedish company, which is owned by shipping forwarders, threw in the towel. What happened in the interim?

“We are gaining market shares. We have seen the highest level of volumes ever in week 3 this year, and generally the first weeks of 2013 have been good.”

Dan Ericsson, CEO of North Sea Roro, DFDS’ competitor on the route between Gothenburg and England, communicated clearly no less than a month ago when ShippingWatch inquired into the situation on the North Sea between Gothenburg and England.
