On Wednesday, the Danish Shipowners’ Association arranged a maritime seminar for approximately 70 participants from shipping companies and maritime authorities in Santiago, Chile, in cooperation with the Asociación Nacional de Armadores (ANA), the association organising the Chilean shipowners. According to the Danish Shipowners’ Association, the seminar has paved the way for further cooperation between the two countries.
“The talks we have had in connection with our visit and the seminar arranged by the Danish Shipowners’ Association made it clear that there is a basis for a cooperation with the Chileans on shipping politics, navigation in isolated regions, e-navigation, maritime education and recruitment. Furthermore, we agreed on the importance and the usefulness of the maritime clusters in the two countries,” says Director General of the Danish Shipowners’ Association, Peter Bjerregaard.
