Authorities postpone DFDS tunnel-decision

The British Competition Commision has delayed the deadline for a decision on the ownership of Eurotunnel until June. “Disappointing,” DFDS writes in a statement.

DFDS will have to wait even longer to learn whether Eurotunnel was in violation of competition laws with its acquisition of three ferries for Sea France. UK competition authorities have chosen to postpone the deadline for a decision in the matter, DFDS writes in its newsletter.

A decision should have been made on 14 April, but now the authorities have extended the deadline, which is far from desirable, according to General Counsel, Ole Færge, DFDS:
