Pacific Basin spends USD 74 million on dry bulk ships

Bulk carrier Pacific Basin is buying four dry bulk vessels for around USD 74 million. Part of the payment is being made via new equity emissions transferred to the ships' sellers.

Hong Kong-based Pacific Basin is buying four dry bulk ships for a total price of USD 73.84 million, the company informs via a notice to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The ships include two supramaxes and two handysizes, three of these four were built in 2015, and a single ship is from 2012.
