Norden CEO on bulk market: 2019 will not mark a positive turning point

It began with a collapse, turned around over the summer, before diving again toward the end of the year. 2019 will not mark a positive turning point for the dry bulk market, says Norden CEO Jan Rindbo, though he is not worried for Norden.

2019 will not be a boom year for the dry bulk market, even though the summer brought hope of better times ahead, says Norden CEO Jan Rindbo after the company on Wednesday published its results for the third quarter.

"One might say that, overall, when looking at average earnings, we're still below the levels that are attractive to traditional shipowners," says Rindbo in a comment on the general dry bulk market in 2019.
