CEO steps down from G2 Ocean

Norwegian dry bulk carrier G2 Ocean, a joint venture between Grieg Star and Gearbulk, will get a new CEO by the turn of the year, when the current one resigns.

At the turn of the year, Rune Birkeland will resign as chief executive at Norwegian dry bulk shipping company G2 Ocean, a joint venture between Grieg Star and Gearbulk, and he will be replaced by current Chief Commercial Officer Arthur English, G2 Ocean informs in a press release.

"I look back at the last three years with great satisfaction – it has been an incredible journey and a privilege to lead this business. I want to thank every single employee at G2 Ocean for helping to make it all possible," Birkeland says.
