Trøim raises USD 30 million for new dry bulk venture

Tor Olav Trøim has raised around USD 30 million for his new dry bulk venture Himalaya. The funds have been sourced from Norwegian and international investors and will be spent on the first shipyard payments, reports Finansavisen.

Norwegian shipping investor Tor Olav Trøim has initiated a new dry bulk venture, Himalaya, and raised around USD 30 million for the company.

More specifically, Himalaya has raised around NOK 261 million, equivalent to USD 30 million, from a number of Norwegian and international investors, informs Norwegian business media Finansavisen.
