Eagle Bulk's net result skyrocketed in Q2

Major US dry bulk operator Eagle Bulk follows the promising trend among competitors, presenting a net result for the second quarter which is ten times higher than last year.

Dry bulk carrier Eagle Bulk landed net income in Q2 of USD 94.5m, an approximate multiplication by ten compared to the USD 9.2m in the first three months of last year, according to the quarterly report issued Friday.

According to CEO Gary Vogel, the major difference compared to last year is due to the high TCE rates seen during the quarter.
