When Klaus Nyborg came to Norden as CEO in 2014, one of his first initiatives was basically to do away the strategy of his predecessor, Carsten Mortensen. This was a more expansive strategical direction with more open shipping days.
An end was put to the ordering of new ships, as one of the first concrete actions and ever since, the focus has been on minimizing the losses that were in the cards, and hereby avoid a potentially disastrous bottom line.
