XO Shipping hires former Norden exec

Dry bulk carrier XO Shipping has hired Norden's former head of Panamax, who left Norden in January. He will work at XO's office in Geneva.

Danish XO Shipping has hired an experienced dry bulk man as Co-Managing Director. The former head of Norden's Panamax activities and Senior Vice President, Mikkel Fruergaard, will start work at the dry bulk carrier's office in Geneva.

Fruergaard left Norden back in January, in relation to what the carrier described as strategic and organizational changes, after spending close to 12 years at Norden, which he joined in 2004. In 2012 he joined the carrier's Senior Management team under then-CEO Carsten Mortensen.
