Dry bulk shipowner: Ship values have risen too much

CEO of Norway's Berge Bulk does not think that the medium/long-term prospects in the dry bulk market are particularly positive, despite high levels right now.

Despite recent months of rate fluctuations in dry bulk, the prospects for the medium-long term are far from uplifting, says the CEO of Norway's bulk carrier Berge Bulk, James Marshall.

"It would take another couple of years before purchases of second-hand tonnage can be justified," Marshall said, according to Lloyd's List, during a panel debate at the Marine Money Asia conference in Singapore.
