UASC merger boosts Hapag-Lloyd's bottom line

Hapag-Lloyd's bottom line more than tripled in 2017 compared to 2016, according to the German container carrier's preliminary results.

The effects of the merger with United Arab Shipping Company, UASC, are now contributing to Hapag-Lloyd's bottom line.

The shipping company published its preliminary unaudited figures for 2017 Wednesday, and the top as well as bottom lines grew.
