
The major box carriers will in the next six months launch comprehensive changes to their global service networks, with the most significant changes hitting the routes between South America's west coast and the Far East.
This tradelane will see a complete update of the partnerships between the companies, triggered especially by Maersk Line's acquisition of Hamburg Süd. But according to Alphaliner, the overall capacity on these routes between Asia and the South American west coast, including Mexico and the Caribbean, will also surge 24 percent.
