MPC Container Ships reports small Q1 profit

Acquisition-hungry MPC Container Ships delivered a profit at USD 0.5 million for the first three months of the year. In just one year, the company has acquired 64 ships.

MPC Container Ships, established last year by a German equity fund, published its interim report for the first three months of 2018 Thursday. The container shipowner reports a profit of USD 0.5 million, up from a deficit of USD 2.1 million in the fourth quarter 2017.

This result was achieved despite the fact that the group is still in its launch phase, writes management.
