Strong reactions in Chile as Maersk shuts down container factory

There are widespread frustrations among the 1,200 employees at Maersk Container Industry's factory in Chile after the decision to shut down the facility just three years after launching it with government support. "I have to say that this is a necessary but also painful decision," said Ronnie B. Jensen, managing director of Maersk Container Industry's factory in San Antonio, Chile, Thursday night.

A video shows the Dane inform the many employees that the factory, built just three years ago in one of Chile's rural areas, will already be shut down.
