Singapore on track for container record this year

The Port of Singapore looks set to reach a record level for container trade in 2018, reports Seatrade.

The massive throughput of container goods in Singapore will set new records this year.

In 2017, the ports combined container trade reached 33.67 million teu, the second-highest level since 2014 when the total container trade clocked in at 33.87 million, reports Seatrade.

The first 11 months of 2018 have brought 33.46 million teu so far, up 8.95 percent compared to the same period last year.
