Hapag-Lloyd appoints new COO

Maximilian Rothkopf will take over as new COO of Hapag-Lloyd when Anthony J. Firmin retires in late June.

On May 1st this year Maximilian Rothkopf will join Hapag-Lloyd's executive board.

38-year-old Rothkopf will head operations of Hapag-Lloyd's global liner business when he in July takes over as COO after Anthony J. Firmon, who is set to retire on June 30 after spending more than two decades with the container shipping company.

Container vessels spend more and more days waiting off major ports

Stena Line to deploy electric ferries

By 2030 at the latest, Stena Line plans to deploy two electric ferries on the route between Sweden and Denmark. The ferries will be battery-driven, approximately 200 meters long and be able to fit 1,000-1,500 passengers.
