Cosco has a total order book of 180,000 teu

OOIL, the parent company of Hong Kong-based liner company OOCL, has an optimistic view of 2019, although there are more concrete challenges. Together with China's Cosco, which took over OOIL last year, capacity has come up to 2.7 million teu. (updated)

Updated 26.03.2019. The orders of 180,000 teu were made exclusively by Cosco, as OOIL has no ships on order.

Cosco's takeover of OOCL, via parent company OOIL, was without a doubt the largest win for Hong Kong-based container carrier in 2018, according to OOIL's report published Monday.
