Costamare has found new customers for 10 container vessels

Greek shipowner Costamare has chartered out 10 container vessels in the first quarter. Among the charterers are shipping companies Maersk, Evergreen and ONE.

Costamare has found new customers for 10 container vessels, which are chartered out at higher rates than previously, says the Greek shipowner, which charters out tonnage to several of the world's major shipping lines, in a Q1 earnings report.

The latest contracts are for 10 post-panamax vessels with a capacity of over 5,500 teu, which are chartered out to Maersk, Evergreen, ONE and Zim.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
