31 container vessels equipped with scrubbers in July

The installation of scrubbers on the global container fleet has begun in earnest. According to Alphaliner, 31 ships have been undergoing scrubber installations in July alone, capacity corresponding to 350,000 teu.

Just five months from now, the new sulfur regulations will come into force, which is evident in the number of container vessels being equipped with scrubbers.

According to analyst firm Alphaliner, 31 container vessels have been taken out of service to have scrubbers installed in order to meet the requirements, corresponding to a capacity of 350,000 teu.
