Evergreen confirms order of ten new mega vessels

Taiwanese container line Evergreen confirms its order of ten new mega vessels at 23,000 teu each. The order will be split between three yards in South Korea and China.

Evergreen now confirms its order for ten new container ships at 23,000 teu each.

The Taiwanese container line confirms in notices to the stock exchange that it has ordered a total of ten mega ships to be built at the yards Samsung Heavy Industries, Jiangnan Shipyard and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
