Global Container Terminals joins Maersk's blockchain platform

Major Canadian port group Global Container Terminals has agreed to join Maersk and IBM's blockchain platform, which provides digital tracking of cargo.

Tradelens, the blockchain partnership launched by Maersk and IBM, adds another notch to its belt as Canada's Global Container Terminals, GTC, has joined the platform, writes Tradelens in a press release.

GTC owns and operates four major container terminals in North America, two in Vancouver, Canada, and two in New York and New Jersey in the US.
