The Alliance follows suit and blanks one in five Asia-Europe sailings

For the coming five weeks, two container alliances cut 21 percent off capacity on Asia-Europe due to the coronavirus outbreak. The remaining alliance is expected to follow before long.

The Alliance has canceled a total of 15 sailings for the coming five weeks, thereby following similar efforts announced by 2M.

This corresponds to a capacity reduction of 21 percent between Asia and Europe, writes Lars Jensen, shipping analyst and chief executive of Sea-Intelligence Consulting, on Linkedin.
