Maersk about to announce large-scale reorganization

Maersk has for weeks been preparing a comprehensive reorganization which, according to ShippingWatch's sources, could have consequences for several of the group's prominent companies already this week. Signs point to Damco and Safmarine.

Maersk will very soon, likely already this week, announce a large-scale reorganization intended to trim the company, several sources tell ShippingWatch.

Even though Maersk completed its most recent comprehensive reorganization just two years ago, a process that placed the vast majority of Damco under Maersk, management has now reviewed the long line of companies and subsidiaries that, together, make up Maersk's shipping and logistics business.
