Media: China to launch probe if container lines increase rates further

According to Chinese media, officials from China are prepared to launch a probe if container lines continue to raise the prices of container shipping, reports Bloomberg News.

China will launch a probe into the recent rate increases if the liner companies continue to raise their prices, reports Chinese media Caixin according to Bloomberg News.

The report is based on anonymous sources, but provides another indication that China may be taking steps to curb the prices on container freght on the key trade lanes between China and the US.
