CMA CGM introduces carbon compensation scheme for customers

France's CMA CGM launches a new product offering to its customers, which ensures carbon-neutral transport, according to the container line. The offer includes an option to compensate for emissions by supporting CO2 sequestration projects.

French container shipping line CMA CGM now offers its customers to pay to offset greenhouse gases emitted during transport.

As part of a new climate initiative, CMA CGM now offers its customers to compensate for the CO2 emitted during their CMA CGM transports. This can, among other things, be done by supporting CO2 sequestration projects involving local communities.
