Søren Skou expects to order Maersk's first carbon neutral vessels in three years

In just three years, Maersk expects to place an order for its first CO2-neutral vessels, explains CEO Søren Skou in a podcast about shipping's green transition. At first, it will likely encompass smaller vessels for a "defined geographical area".

Just three years from now, A.P. Møller-Maersk plans to place an order for its first carbon neutral vessels as part of the shipping company's large-scale climate plan ahead of 2050, says Maersk CEO Søren Skou in the podcast "Outrage + Optimism", which in the most recent episode examines the state of shipping's climate mitigation efforts.

Three years from now we expect to buy (...) the first series of maybe small container ships that we can operate in a defined geographical area.
