Hamburg Süd appoints new CEO

After more than 20 years at Maersk-owned container line Hamburg Süd, Dr. Arnt Vespermann leaves the company and thus steps down as CEO. His replacement has been found internally.

German container line Hamburg Süd, owned by Maersk, gets a new CEO, as Dr. Arnt Vespermann has decided to leave the company after 20 years, according to a press release.

Hamburg Süd has appointed Poul Hestbaek as new chief executive officer. Hestbaek has been with the company 17 years and most recently serves as CCO.
